Terms of Service

1. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Individual teacher accounts are free. School accounts are managed by an instructional coach or administrator who invites teachers by email.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload identifiable student data without appropriate consent.
• Use the platform for teacher evaluation, appraisal, or grading — Taleemy Inquiry is a professional learning tool, not an assessment system.
• Post content that is harassing, defamatory, or unlawful.
• Attempt to bypass security controls or access data that is not yours.

3. Content ownership

You own the inquiries, reflections, and evidence you create. By choosing to publish an inquiry to the Research Commons, you grant other users a limited license to view and reference it with attribution.

4. Payments and trials

Individual teacher accounts are free. Schools receive a 30-day free trial and are billed per teacher seat thereafter. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Refunds are handled case by case; contact billing@taleemy.org.

5. AI features

AI-generated suggestions are provided as a starting point only. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any AI output before using it in your practice or classroom.

6. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your content is deleted after a short grace period.

7. Disclaimer

Taleemy Inquiry is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Taleemy's liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app and by email to account owners.
